LYING ON A CV COULD LAND YOU IN JAIL!
Jobseekers have always been told to be honest about their skills and experience on their CV but now it would seem that the stakes are higher than just not getting that job you applied for, or even being dismissed from a role.A HR Manager in Devon was recently given a suspended prison sentence for lying about her qualifications on her CV. The person in question falsely claimed to be part-way through a CIPD course and to hold a degree in Human Resource Management. When this came to light, the NHS took it so seriously, the person in question was prosecuted and eventually given a 6-month suspended prison sentence, ordered to pay nearly £10,000 in compensation and had to carry out 150 hours of community service.
